I love american cars from '50. My timeframe for models 1949 - 1960.
I prefer 4 Door sedan, 4 Door Hardtop, and Wagon. On the other hand I do not like convertible.
My first model it was Chevrolet Impala Convertible '59 - Vitesse ( it was a gift from parents )

I buy from time to time. has been mainly focused for Renault. Now I have only 5 but for " of the upper class " ( Neo Scale Models, Spark )

This is my newest model - Edsel Citation 4 Door Hardtop Sedan ( body style code; 57B , color code Tri-Tone painting; DEA , interior code; J - white vinyl with turquoise material )
Engine; E-475 V8 6,7, 345hp, 0-100; 10sec
Citation was the top model in Edsel line.
Standard model was Ranger and Pacer ( were based on Fords ) and higher - Corsair and Citation ( based on Mercury ). Station wagon; Roundup, Villager, Bermuda
By 3 year production made only 110,847. today there are only 6000

interesting site about Edsels http://www.edsel.com
